An increasingly hostile national climate for Republicans has shaken up Senate races across the nation, giving Democrats a plausible shot at achieving 60 seats -- a filibuster-proof majority that would embolden policy ambitions in Congress.

This is the kind of stuff that scares me as a Libertarian. I am much happier when there is some form of control to prevent the Democratic and Republican agendas from being fully implemented. I dislike the fact that socialists have hijacked the Democratic party, so in this election I am voting for McCain. That's not the only reason, Governor Palin solidified my backing for Senator McCain.
